Top versus bottom, two teams with different ambitions at this point of the season, where promotion chasing GIF Sundsvall will need a solid victory here to establish themselves properly in the ending phase of the league. Assyriska have had a rough year, threatened by relegation and second worst goal differential makes it very important to try to gather points sooner or later.

GIF Sundsvall were one of the possible names to promote, and so far they are living up to the expectations in impressive fashion at home in particular, where they have score 27 goals in 10 matches (2.7 per home game) and only conceded 9. A victory would mean that GIF Sundsvall take over the first place, which is the only target right now. Much of the offensive power comes through strikers Johan Eklund and Pa Dibba, both have combined for 22 goals together and are backed up by good assistance from the hard working midfield. They play on an artificial turf, just like Assyriska do at home, so there will be no advantage when it comes to the surface. No doubt though, GIF Sundsvall are a team of Allsvenskan quality and it should be a matter of time before they get there again. With 8-1-1 at home, the fans, organization and the public expect victories regarless of opponents, and particulary when they face Assyriska who are rock bottom at 16th place.

Injury wise, there is nothing relevant to add for the hosts who can field a strong enough team to claim the league leading position.

Assyriska is a club from Söderetälje, same as their fellow league team Syrianska FC, and there have actually been serious thoughts about merging the two clubs in the future because both have struggled financially and have had difficult seasons behind them, but that is another discussion. At the moment Assyriska rank bottom of the league, two straight losses and winless in 7 consecutive Superettan matches. They recenly played a very similar opponent to Sundsvall, when they travelled to Jönköping and lost 4-0, an offensive team who also plays on artificial turf and it was noticeable that they are not quite comfortable with speedy offensive teams. They road record is not awful, with 3-4-3 it looks acceptable but this is perhaps the most difficult away game you can face in Superettan. Worth noting is that Assyriska have only scored 19 goals in 21 matches, a pretty much non-existent offense which is now up against the most powerful home team, and it surely does smell like a difficult task

The visitors will have to be without their suspended center back David Durmaz (18/0) who looks to be the only real name on the 'for sure' absent list.
  A win is more of less a must against this kind of opponent if Sundsvall really want to promote, hence I see good chances for a solid victory whether it comes easy or hard.

In this squad you can also see one very quality international striker Juan da Silva who tomorrow can really make some difference on field,he already scored two goals for Teteks in this season.

Turnovo have the worst coach in this league and not so quality squad,i said before this team will have a lot of problems in this season.I think that Teteks is a little better and they will do everything to take the first win.

  They suffered back to back loses in Championship and last one was dreadful (0-4 to Forrest).

Gaz Metan showed its true face in the last round, when they lost 4-1 to CFR Cluj. Gaz Metan is in a financial crysis, plus their players are really mediocre. And the same thing I can say about their coach, Cristi Dulca. The 8 points Gaz Metan accumulated in the first 5 rounds is just a miracle, and I think its about to end.

 

Pandurii is a team that should be somewhere around 4-5th spot, so clearly it is expected from them to reborn soon and start some positive winning streak. And where to start it than Medias, against a mediocre opponent? 

 

I think it is rather impossible to believe Pandurii will be without win in the 1st league after six rounds, and it is wise to force a win by them today. Perfect timing, perfect place.

Rizespor are beginning with their new head coach Mehmet Ozdilek. I must inform here that Mehmet Ozdilek is the ex-coach of Genclerbirligi and he knows the visitors with all their players. Rizespor preserved their squad in the transferred period. However they sent the players who could not find enough chance in the last season. They made some important transfers and most interesting one is forward Holosko from Besiktas. With the new players I can say that they do not have problems in their defense and midfield.

Genclerbirligi were one of the most mean team as they collected players from average leagues. The club president sent Kemal Ozdes and brought Mustafa Kaplan as the head coach. Thus Genclerbirligi had brought 2 different coaches in summer and I wonder how much Mustafa Kaplan could have developed the team. Bad news for Genclerbirligi is that they lost such important players like Jimmy Durmaz, Ermin Zec, Kulusic and Oktay Delibalta.

Rizespor improved their squad and they have got a fox coach Mehmet Ozdilek who knows this league very well. Genclerbirligi lost important players and did not make important transfers besides they will be playing on away.

Nottingham the last match with 0:3, it was half year ago. I think Nottingham is stronger and they could win this one because Huddersfield with their weak defence probably will try to score a goal and that will be an opportunity for Nottingham.

AEL is in competition form. After good preparation period and friendlies against clubs like Steaua Bucuresti (1-1), Ludogorets (0-1) they won Zenit in Cyprus (Champions League qualification match) by 1-0 in one interesting match. After that win they played two more friendlies winning Karmiotissa (1-2) and Doxa (7-1). They made strong performance in St Petersburg but after good first half they failed with a man down and lost 3-0. 
The loss put them in Europa League last round of qualification and they lost to famous team of Tottenham who came with mixed squad, before 3 days in Cyprus by 1-2. In the first half they played well and put the goal for lead and had a chance even to extend but did not convert opportunities. 

I strongly beleive that AEL will start well this new season. They have much better players and the team is overall at least 2 levels above players of Nea Salamina. It is just a question with how many goals difference this match will end.
With form, quality, motivation, financial status and all other smaller facts on AEL's side I bet on away win.

Doxa will host Ermis on this first round of Cyprus First Division. This is two completely different level of quality teams and the form at this moment is on Ermis side absolutely. Ermis made very good last season.

  They want to Europe in first time of the club's history and where taken out from Young Boys (1-0 and 2-0). After that they won Cyprus Super Cup with quality performance against APOEL (1-2) but I doubt that APOEL in that match played with 100% power as they had important match ahead of them against Aalborg for CL qualification group stage. Anyway it is a good result and first trophy for this small club that has stadium in outskirts of small town of Larnaca. Ermis has very good board organization and club is doing OK financially - much better than other Cypriot clubs. 

  They are also very motivated and morale boosted from the uplifting win over giants APOEL so for this match they will surely go and give all to win. On the other side Doxa is under avarage team in Cyprus. Last season they managed to survive and where 1 place above relegation zone. For them this will be another season fighting for survival IMO. They played 3 friendlies and lost all; twice with Omonia (0-1) and (0-2) and where trashed by AEL (7-1). Nothing special from this team.

   Ermis is in better form, they already played 3 official games and 2 in Europe. I doubt that Doxa is ready phisicly as is Ermis and also the guests have far better quality players in all positions.
Last season Ermis destroyed Doxa twice; 5-1 at home and 2-4 in the away match.
Anything else than Ermis win will be a surprise.

Östersund have a very unique way of working as an organization which separates them from the typical Swedish style of play. Their management have decided to focus on bringing in British mentality, which is why they have a young English coach in Graham Potter assisted by Scottish Billy Reid. The club also have a unique scouting system, they focus on bringing in bragains.

Form wise they have 10 points in the last four matches, and currently show some of their best football. The positive play have lead to a serious chance of promoting to Allsvenskan which would be an incredible story for this team. Assistan coach Billy Reid feel very hopeful:

- We are in good shape and have much confidence at the moment and we just want to maintain it.

Those are the kind of vibes that a team in good mood can show off with.

A strong creative attacking line consisting of Modou Barrow (17/9) and his partnership with Jamie Hopcutt (14/7) and backed up by the attacking midfielder Seon-Min Moon (16/5) is a trio very few teams in Superettan can match. All of them are being tracked by other clubs due to their success this season.

The visitors are on a good streak but will travel without attacking midfielder Linus Sjöberg (6/0), who is the only absentee for Östersund, while central defender Douglas Bergqvist (17/0) had some pain in his thigh on the practice but clears up that he is included in the squad. Other than that, versatile defender Jonathan Azulay (17/0) is back from suspension.

Husqvarna are newcomers and started off very well, but as the season went on they were caught by reality which now have them included in the relegation battle. With five losses in a row last month they find themseleves in a rough period.  Last time out, they lost against the other relegation candidate GAIS in a match they really needed to win.

Due to a long time suffering from injuries for an already thin squad, the club desperately gathered 5 new signings before the transfer window closed to help them survive the season. To be honest though, not too qualified signings. Zakaria Abdullai from Gefle IF's U21 team, young midfielder Kristoffer Thydell from Halmstads youth team etc. The only 'fine' signings were midfielder Marius Hagen from Nest-Sotra IL with appearances from Norwegian second division and a profilic striker within Swedish football, 31 year old Petar Gitselov to add some scoring.

Ahead of the home game, both central defenders Didric Andersson (14/0) and Anders Nielsen (6/0) will miss out. They remain the only absentees worth mentioning.

While things are looking slightly better for Husqvarna in terms of injuries, the same goes for Östersund. Form wise, Östersund will try to chase their dream of promotion and Husqvarna will need points not to become too involved in the relegation zone. I expect a tight game, but have to lean Östersund due to their better coaching staff, and the team itself appears to be top motivated to do well. This is not a guarantee of winning of course but surely a mentally boosted team which should be favorites and take the narrow victory.

  Valenciennes was relegated from L1, but directly gone in minor leagues cause financial problems. Then a new owner saved the team that was readmitted in L2. But this happened only few weeks before the start of the season, and guests were able to replace all regulars of last season gone, with players usual reserves in other team of L2, or youngsters. Infact results till now are quite bad and for this round guests have unavailable Da Silva (midf.15+5), LeTallec ( att. 2 1g) and Enza Yamissi ( midf..2).
 
Both teams played on midweek cup de la Ligue, and both loose their matches. Tour played extra times and penalties, playing in ten men since 81° minute. Valenciennes played the whole second half in ten men, and many regulars of Tours rested in that match, so difference in tiredness should eb not so great.
Remain , on teh contrary, a great difference in quality and Tours - only problem is Kuakou ( att. 2 1g) doubtful, can win this match.

I don't even talk about the match stats in first duel, Omonia have amazing 21 shots, Metalurg only three what also talk enough about big quality difference  between this two sides.

 

About Metalurg i explain already everything. Situation now is more than clear, this one will be the last match for them in Europe, they can't make any more surprises like they did in match against Zeljeznicar in Bosnia, and they have really busy schedule starting from tomorrow and must play even a three matches just for seven days. Metalurg coach know that so i expect from him to rest some of the regular players and try to focus on home championship.

 

Omonia can do also that,but i don't see a big reason because their championship start for almost one month so this one can be another match for good preparation. Odd is to good to be missed.

 

I must say that Metalurg really surprised me in last round when they beat the last year champion Rabotnicki,but hosts here dominated almost in all first half and don't use their chance, striker Chuma Anene missed two 100% chance for goal. After this match goalkeeper Efremov will join Vardar,and another two good players Radeski and Simonovski is near to do the same.

 

However i expect Omonia to win once again.

   Last season before winter break Terek were rock bottom team with small chances for avoiding relegation and team’s management decided to sack coach Krzsnozhan and appoint former Amkar and Lokomotiv coach Rakhimov. With him in charge Terek started play better and gaining some points. They won all 6 home matches with Rakhimov with 11:1 goal difference. Such great home streak helped team to finish last season on 12^th place. Now they saved all key players, without any new signings so I expect they will continue solid play especially at home. 

They have quality players in the squad like top scorer Aílton Almeida(29/8) if you remember him, best player of APOEL who reached champions league quarterfinal; Aissati (13/0) former Ajax player; they have great Brazilian players Adílson(18/0), Maurício(29/6) and key defender Antonio Ferreira(19/0). So Terek are able even to reach top-6, but expected finish is top 10. 

They always play very solid at home.

Last season Amkar were playing very well till head coach Cherchesov departed to Dinamo. Since this lose team stopped showing their great performance and they finished campaign with 10 matches without victory.
Now Muslin appointed as new coach but he has very low budget and Amkar can’t sign quality players. During transfer window they lost forward Kanunnikov (24/3) and now attack is weakest line in the team.

As we can see they had huge problems in attack during friendly matches. Now if we consider how solid play Terek in defense at home there is huge chance that Amkar won’t score in this match. Another departures in the squad are Nijholt(5/0), Rebko (1/0), Solovyev(3/0), Twumasi(6/0), Vassiljev(19/2), Kayumov(7/0). Long term key players like Jakubkoand Peev(27/12) are too old, they are 34 and 35 years old.
I see Amkar fighting for relegation.

Terek must win this one, they are performed very well under Rakhimov last season and nothing has change during summer break. Amkar had and have huge problems since end of last season, especially in the attack.
