In the last World Cup qualification group, Iceland managed to qualify play off stage and disqualified by Croatia in two legs clash without hitting the nets. They played friendly games against Sweden and Wales and lost both matches. They drew with Austria. On last Thursday they defeated Estonia 1-0.

In the last World Cup qualifications Turkey had begun with Abdullah Avci however due to many criticisms he was sacked and legend head coach Fatih Terim was brought but he had little chance to carry his national team to the play off stage. I must remind that Fatih Terim managed to defeat Romania on away and kept Turkey’s hopes until the last match that they hosted Netherlands but they lost 2-0.

Regarding Fatih Terim and his coaching career of Turkish national stats are the best ever. He managed the most games so far, he recorded the most victories, in his career the most scorer Turkish National. In his career Turkish National scored 161 goals and this is the record of all the coaches that managed Turkish National so far. I also must inform that Turkish National lost only to Netherlands and USA in last 12 matches. They managed to record 10 wins and scored 26 goals while conceded 9 in the last 12 matches.

At Turkey side important defender Semih Kaya and Besiktas’s play maker young talent  Oguzhan Ozyakup are injured and not in the squad. These are the worst news of the visitors.

There is no doubt that Turkish National will record much better performance in this group comparing to the last World Cup qualification. The odds are high as Turkish National are on away but for me this is a must invest situation.
